Kozhikode, April 2, 2026: The Left Democratic Front (LDF), led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, has released its election manifesto outlining key promises aimed at securing another term in power.
The manifesto includes 60 major commitments, with a strong focus on social welfare and development. Among the أبرز promises are increasing the welfare pension to ₹3000, ensuring job opportunities for those educated in Kerala, and developing world-class higher education institutions.
The LDF also pledged to lift five lakh families out of poverty and provide campus placements for 60,000 students. Additional proposals include full government support for bedridden patients, establishment of a Skill University, and creation of an Industrial Township Authority.
The manifesto further highlights efforts to make KSRTC profitable, continue work on a high-speed north-south rail corridor, and address human-wildlife conflicts. Increasing honorariums for ASHA workers is also part of the proposed measures.
The manifesto reflects the LDF’s focus on inclusive growth, employment generation, and strengthening public welfare systems.
