Washington, April 2, 2026: A disturbing incident at a train station in Seattle has come to light, where a man was nearly pushed in front of a moving train in an apparent attempt to kill him.
The incident occurred on March 19 at the Northgate station, when the victim, identified as Peter Michael Valbrun, was standing on the platform and looking at his mobile phone while waiting for a train. The attacker, Eliseo Melendez (26), was seen hiding behind an elevator before suddenly attempting to shove the victim onto the tracks as a train approached.
However, in a narrow escape, the victim managed to resist the push and avoid falling onto the tracks. CCTV footage shows the attacker making multiple attempts before fleeing the scene when he failed to carry out the act.
Authorities later identified and arrested the suspect using surveillance footage from nearby locations, including a hotel in the area. Reports suggest that the accused may be suffering from mental health issues.
Police also revealed that the suspect had previously been arrested in 2019 in connection with a stabbing incident involving his sister but was not convicted due to mental health considerations.
The shocking visuals of the attempted attack have now surfaced, raising serious concerns about commuter safety and public security at railway stations.
