Gurugram, March 14: Air India and Air India Express will operate a combined 72 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from West Asia on March 15, the airline group announced on Saturday.
Both carriers will continue their scheduled services to Jeddah and Muscat. A total of eight flights will operate between India and Jeddah, including return services by Air India from Delhi and Mumbai, while Air India Express will run flights from Bengaluru and Kozhikode.
Air India Express will also operate 12 scheduled flights to Muscat, connecting the Omani capital with Delhi, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangaluru, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram.
In addition to the scheduled services, the Air India group will run 52 non-scheduled (ad hoc) flights to destinations in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, subject to slot availability and operational conditions. These flights will connect major UAE cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah.
The airline group also confirmed that all its flights to North America, Europe, Australia, and other international destinations continue to operate as scheduled.
Passengers affected by temporarily suspended routes can rebook their travel at no additional cost or opt for a full refund, the airline said. Air India and Air India Express are also contacting affected passengers directly to assist with rebooking options.
