Kerala Minister K B Ganesh Kumar has launched a sharp attack against former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, alleging that Chandy’s actions destroyed his family and led to his separation from his children. Responding to recent statements made by Chandy Oommen, Ganesh Kumar questioned whether Oommen Chandy or his son would ever be held accountable for what he described as an “evil act” that divided his family. He alleged that Oommen Chandy had deceived him by promising to mediate a family dispute, which eventually forced him to resign from his ministerial post in 2003. Ganesh Kumar also questioned the reasons behind his resignation and said there was no criminal case against him, accusing Chandy of misleading him with false assurances of reinstatement.
Ganesh Kumar’s remarks come in response to allegations made by Chandy Oommen, who recently accused the minister of harassing his father in connection with the solar case. Speaking at a political explanatory meeting in Mangode, Pathanapuram, Chandy Oommen expressed shock over Ganesh Kumar’s actions, stating that the relationship between Oommen Chandy and Ganesh Kumar’s father, R Balakrishna Pillai, had been close. He said his father had treated Ganesh Kumar like a son and questioned how a controversial 18-page letter related to the solar case later became 24 pages, noting that the matter is currently under judicial consideration.
