Kochi: The United Democratic Front (UDF) has released its manifesto for the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy handed over the document to Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan during the launch event.The manifesto expands on Rahul Gandhi’s five guarantees, introducing a wide range of welfare and development promises.
Key promises include free bus travel for women in KSRTC, ₹1000 monthly allowance for college girls, welfare pensions increased to ₹3000, free health insurance up to ₹25 lakh for all families, and interest-free loans up to ₹5 lakh for youth entrepreneurs.
Free dialysis for BPL families, establishment of ‘She Hospitals’, and no-bill hospitals based on the JIPMER model are among the major healthcare proposals.
A ‘Job Watch Tower’ to track global employment trends, a Tribal University in Wayanad, and support for 10,000 MSMEs are promised.
₹300 minimum support price for rubber, ₹35 procurement price for paddy, and fuel subsidies for fishermen are key highlights.
The manifesto promises Indira Canteens, housing for 5 lakh people, increased wages for ASHA workers, and enhanced pensions for differently-abled individuals.
Metro/light metro projects in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode, anti-corruption vigilance commission, and ‘Mission Samudra’ are also included.
