Dubai Civil Defence teams successfully extinguished a fire that broke out near Dubai International Airport following a drone incident that struck a fuel tank in the vicinity of the airport.
Authorities confirmed that emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to the scene after the drone strike triggered a blaze affecting one of the airport’s fuel storage tanks. Firefighters quickly contained the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to surrounding infrastructure.
According to officials, specialised response units worked swiftly to implement safety protocols and bring the situation under control. Civil Defence teams later confirmed that the fire had been fully extinguished and that cooling operations were underway to stabilise the affected area.
In an official update shared by the Dubai Media Office, authorities stated that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Emergency crews followed strict safety procedures aligned with the highest operational standards during the response.
Officials also reassured the public that the situation remains fully under control, with no further risk of the fire spreading. Investigations into the drone strike and its origin are expected to follow as authorities continue monitoring the area.
