Washington: US President Donald Trump has claimed that the war against Iran is “almost complete,” stating that the country’s military capabilities have been largely destroyed.
Speaking in an interview with CBS News, Trump said there was little left of Iran’s military infrastructure.
“From a military standpoint, there’s almost nothing left in Tehran. They have no navy, no communications systems, no air force. Their missiles have been scattered and their drones are being destroyed,” Trump said.
Trump also stated that the Strait of Hormuz remains open and ships are continuing to pass through the strategic waterway.
He further added that the United States is considering the possibility of taking control of the Strait of Hormuz.
