Dubai has once again become a global hub for readers as Big Bad Wolf Books launched its 2026 edition at the Sound Stage, Dubai Studio City. Running from February 26 to March 8, the event showcases more than one million books from around the world at unbeatable prices.
Held in partnership with Sharjah Book Authority and Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the fair offers discounts of up to 95 percent, with prices starting at AED 2, making reading accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.
BBW Founder Andrew Yap explained that the initiative is rooted in the belief that books should be affordable and widely available. He added that the 2026 theme, “Beyond the Noise,” reflects a collective desire to reconnect with focused, meaningful reading in an era of digital overload.
The fair features titles across fiction, non-fiction, children’s literature, education, personal development, arts, culture, and research. Designed as a warehouse-style experience, visitors are encouraged to browse freely and discover international bestsellers and rare finds.
Special emphasis has been placed on supporting education. Students and teachers presenting valid school IDs receive an additional 5 percent discount on English books. BBW also extends support to libraries and educational institutions seeking to build cost-effective collections.
Open daily from 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM, the venue is equipped with food trucks offering global cuisines, prayer facilities, and family-friendly spaces. Weekends feature dedicated children’s reading areas, interactive workshops, storytelling sessions, and creative writing programmes.
A key highlight of this year’s edition is the “Stage Write 2026” competition, a 48-hour theatre scriptwriting challenge that rewards winners with cash vouchers and a live performance opportunity at The Junction. Additionally, visitors spending AED 200 or more can enter raffle draws to win prizes, including a MacBook Air and shopping vouchers.
