Abu Dhabi, March 1: The UAE government has stepped in to support thousands of passengers stranded due to flight cancellations and delays caused by recent regional developments.
The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) confirmed that the government is covering all accommodation and food expenses for affected travelers. Stranded passengers are being provided with hotel stays, meals, refreshments, and assistance with flight rescheduling.
Authorities said that in the past few hours alone, arrangements have been completed for approximately 20,200 passengers who faced travel disruptions at various airports across the country.
Officials emphasized that priority is being given to minimizing inconvenience to travelers while ensuring smooth airport operations and maintaining high safety standards. Aviation authorities remain on high alert to manage the situation effectively.
Passengers have been advised to rely only on official channels for updates and to contact their respective airlines directly for the latest information regarding their flights.
