Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Jana Nayagan has set a new benchmark in Indian cinema with a spectacular audio launch held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The grand event witnessed an unprecedented gathering of nearly 80,000 fans at the iconic Bukit Jalil Stadium, making it the largest entertainment event ever held in Malaysia.
Produced by KVN Productions and directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan features an impressive ensemble cast including Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Narain, Gautham Menon, Priyamani, and Mamitha Baiju. The film’s audio launch turned into a historic celebration, highlighting Thalapathy Vijay’s massive global fan base.
Speaking exclusively to NDTV, producer Venkat K Narayana, owner of KVN Productions, described the event as a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
“The Jana Nayagan audio launch is a landmark event. Officially, this is the largest gathering of people for an event in Malaysia. It has created a national record. Thalapathy sir’s fan following is truly amazing and mind-blowing,” he said.
He further expressed gratitude to the Malaysian public and authorities, adding that the overwhelming love, energy, and enthusiasm of Vijay’s fans made the event unforgettable.
Reflecting on his experience working with Vijay, Venkat K Narayana became emotional, especially as Jana Nayagan is expected to be the star’s final film before fully transitioning into politics.
“There is going to be a vacuum. Vijay sir has been part of every household for years. His dialogues, dances, songs, and emotional scenes have always been celebrated,” he said.
Calling Vijay a “producer’s actor,” Narayana praised the superstar’s humility, discipline, professionalism, and work ethic. “If I have to sum it up in one line, working with Vijay sir has been an experience of a lifetime,” he added.
Set for release on January 9, 2026, Jana Nayagan is being positioned as a tribute to Thalapathy Vijay’s cinematic legacy. The producer revealed that the film will offer everything fans expect from a classic Vijay entertainer — mass moments, powerful emotions, chart-topping songs, and high-energy dance numbers.
With Anirudh Ravichander delivering what Narayana calls “electrifying music and background score,” the film is gearing up for a massive worldwide release, including a wide Hindi release across North India.
“From January 9, Thalapathy mania will take over everywhere,” the producer signed off.
