Superstar Rajinikanth’s much-awaited sequel Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar, is currently under production, and fresh buzz around the film has caught the attention of cinema lovers across the country. Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty has sparked excitement by hinting at a possible cameo appearance by Shah Rukh Khan in the film.
Mithun Chakraborty, who himself is making a special appearance in Jailer 2, recently spoke to a Bengal-based media outlet where he revealed key details about the film’s star-studded cast. During the interaction, Mithun mentioned that the film features big names such as Mohanlal, Shah Rukh Khan, Ramya Krishnan, Shivarajkumar, and others, indirectly confirming SRK’s involvement.
While the makers of Jailer 2 are yet to officially announce Shah Rukh Khan’s participation, Mithun’s statement has already generated strong curiosity in film circles. As of now, details about SRK’s role remain under wraps.
Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth share a long-standing bond and mutual admiration. In the past, SRK appeared in a cameo in Ra.One and paid tribute to Rajinikanth through a special song in Chennai Express. If the two superstars indeed reunite for Jailer 2, it would mark a rare and highly anticipated collaboration between North and South Indian cinema.
Apart from Rajinikanth and the rumored SRK cameo, the film also stars Vinayakan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Santhanam, and Meghana Raj Sarja, all of whom have confirmed their involvement. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, Jailer 2 will feature music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
The film is expected to hit theatres post-summer, and an official confirmation regarding Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo is eagerly awaited.
