The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that the United Arab Emirates was subjected to a direct attack involving ballistic missiles launched by Iran, resulting in the death of one civilian of Asian nationality after missile debris fell in a residential area.
In an official statement, the Ministry said UAE air defence systems responded with high efficiency, successfully intercepting a number of the incoming missiles. Authorities swiftly handled the fall of missile debris, which caused limited material damage in a residential location.
The Ministry confirmed that the overall security situation in the UAE remains stable, with all relevant entities monitoring developments around the clock. It strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a dangerous escalation and a cowardly act that threatens civilian safety and regional stability.
The statement stressed that targeting civilian objects, facilities, and national institutions constitutes a blatant violation of national sovereignty and international law. The UAE affirmed that it reserves the full right to respond to this escalation and to take all necessary measures to protect its territory, citizens, residents, and visitors.
The Ministry reiterated its full readiness to confront any threats and urged the public to rely solely on official sources for information, while avoiding the spread of rumours or unverified reports.
