SEOUL / March 3, 2026: North Korea has strongly condemned the military strikes by the United States and Israel against Iran, calling them an “illegal act of aggression” and a violation of Iranian sovereignty.
In a statement released by North Korea’s state media, the Foreign Ministry denounced the attacks as a “war of aggression,” asserting that such actions are unacceptable under any circumstances. Pyongyang urged other nations to take responsibility for restoring peace and stability in the Middle East.
The criticism comes against the backdrop of intensifying conflict in West Asia, with Israel launching strikes in Iran and Tehran responding with drone and missile attacks across the region.
North Korea has long opposed U.S. military actions and has previously accused Washington and its allies of undermining peace. However, there is no verified report from major news agencies confirming that Kim Jong-un has directly pledged to supply missiles to Iran if requested. Social media posts claiming such statements remain unverified.
North Korea’s foreign ministry has previously condemned Israeli attacks on Iran as aggression that threatens peace in West Asia. Pyongyang has also criticized U.S. involvement, accusing it of “fanning the flames of war.’’
