DUBAI: The Dubai Sunni Centre will host a grand Iftar gathering along with the finale of the prestigious Sayyid Hamid Koyamma Thangal Holy Quran Award – Season 3 on March 7 at the Women’s Association Auditorium, Al Baraha, Dubai.
The programme is being organised as part of the fifth commemoration conference of Sayyid Hamid Koyamma Thangal, the former President of Dubai Sunni Centre and a revered spiritual leader among expatriate Malayali Muslims in the UAE. Around 2,500 participants are expected to attend the event.
The highlight of the evening will be the grand finale of the Quran Recitation Competition, an initiative aimed at encouraging excellence in Quranic recitation while honouring the enduring legacy of Sayyid Hamid Koyamma Thangal.
The event will also feature a special Ramadan speech by P.M. Abdussalam Baqawi, President of Dubai Sunni Centre and a member of the Samastha Supreme Body. Prominent Islamic scholars and respected members of the Malayali Muslim community are expected to grace the occasion.
