Dubai Police have urged residents and motorists to exercise extreme caution as the UAE experiences unstable weather conditions this week, with rain and thunderstorms forecast across several areas. Authorities warned the public to stay away from waterways and avoid crossing valleys, as sudden flooding may pose serious risks.
Drivers have been advised to strictly follow traffic laws, reduce speed during rainfall, and maintain safe distances to prevent accidents on wet roads. Dubai Police confirmed that emergency teams are fully prepared to respond to incidents in mountainous regions, valleys, and areas affected by adverse weather.
Sea users, including owners of boats, yachts, and ships, have also been instructed to closely monitor weather updates and adhere to official safety guidelines to ensure public safety.
In case of emergencies, the public can contact the Command and Control Center at 999, while non-emergency assistance is available via 901. According to forecasts, Sunday, December 14, is expected to be the wettest day, with heavy rain and thunderstorms predicted across parts of the country.
