Reinforcing its position as one of the largest integrated healthcare providers in the GCC, Aster DM Healthcare has unveiled an ambitious pipeline of projects worth AED 1 billion, set to redefine the future of healthcare for residents of the UAE. The announcements were made during the World Health Expo (WHX) 2026 in Dubai.
As part of its major UAE expansion, Aster DM Healthcare will open two new multi-specialty hospitals in Dubai’s Studio City and Discovery Gardens, increasing its UAE bed capacity by more than 250 beds. In addition, Aster Hospital, Al Qusais, will undergo a significant expansion with the addition of 122 new beds through a dedicated annex, strengthening its oncology and specialty care services.
A key highlight of the announcement was the launch of Sharjah’s first private multi-organ transplant centre, to be operated by Medcare Hospital. The centre will offer advanced tertiary and quaternary care, enabling patients in the UAE to access complex organ transplant procedures locally.
Aster also announced plans to establish an Advanced Robotic Rehabilitation Centre in Dubai, bringing 18 state-of-the-art robotic systems to support recovery for neurological, spinal, stroke-related, and mobility conditions. The centre will include a first-of-its-kind Advanced Paediatric Neurorehabilitation facility, integrating AI-enabled cognitive mapping, immersive VR therapies, and neuromodulation technologies.
On the technology front, Aster highlighted its focus on AI-enabled diagnostics, robotic surgery platforms, a unified Hospital Information System (HIS), and preventive healthcare through Thrive by myAster — a 100-biomarker intelligence-based wellness program designed to support proactive and personalized health management.
Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman, reaffirmed Aster’s commitment to the UAE’s healthcare vision, while Managing Director and Group CEO Ms. Alisha Moopen emphasized that the group’s investments go beyond infrastructure, focusing on outcomes, innovation, and connected patient experiences.
