The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the launch of the Al Ruwayyah Yard Project, reinforcing Dubai’s efforts to enhance urban structure, promote sustainability, and elevate living standards across the city.
Designed to provide organised and secure parking facilities, the project caters specifically to caravans, boats including jet skis, trailers, and food vending vehicles. By offering regulated parking solutions, the initiative helps reduce random parking practices while preserving Dubai’s urban aesthetics and boosting its tourism attractiveness.
According to Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, CEO of RTA’s Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, the project plays a vital role in maintaining smooth traffic movement and curbing unregulated parking behaviour. The Al Ruwayyah Yard includes 335 dedicated parking spaces supported by modern infrastructure.
The initiative supports road capacity optimisation, enhances traffic safety, and contributes to a more organised city environment. It is also part of a series of RTA projects aimed at the sustainable utilisation of authority-owned land across different areas of the emirate.
By addressing parking-related challenges in residential and roadside locations, the Al Ruwayyah Yard Project aligns with Dubai’s broader vision of becoming one of the world’s most desirable cities to live, work, and visit, while meeting the expectations of residents, visitors, and tourists alike.
