Malayali entrepreneurs have once again demonstrated their growing global influence, with 22 prominent Malayalis featured in a leading list of the Gulf region’s most influential personalities.
Among those recognized are business magnate M. A. Yusuff Ali, education leader Sunny Varkey, healthcare pioneer Azad Moopen, and Shamsheer Vayalil. Other prominent names include Adeeb Ahamed, P. N. C. Menon, Ravi Pillai, Joy Alukkas, and Sohan Roy.
The recognition reflects the significant economic, social, and philanthropic contributions made by Malayalis across sectors including retail, healthcare, real estate, media, logistics, and education. Many of those featured have built multinational enterprises while maintaining strong ties to Kerala and actively supporting community welfare initiatives.
Industry observers note that the presence of 22 Malayalis on the list underscores the community’s resilience, entrepreneurial spirit, and leadership across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
