Thiruvananthapuram: With the deadline for filing nominations set to end on Monday, the electoral landscape in Kerala is becoming clearer, even as major fronts like the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are yet to finalize their full list of candidates.
Political activity has intensified across the state, with parties rushing to complete candidate selections and submit nomination papers before the deadline. While several constituencies have already seen confirmed candidates, a few seats remain undecided, particularly within the LDF and NDA camps.
The United Democratic Front (UDF), meanwhile, is reportedly closer to completing its candidate lineup, giving it an early organizational advantage in the campaign phase.
As the nomination window draws to a close, the overall contest picture in most constituencies has become nearly clear, setting the stage for high-voltage campaigning in the coming days.
Observers note that last-minute candidate changes and strategic adjustments could still influence the dynamics in a few key seats, but the broader electoral battle lines are now largely defined.
