Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala is experiencing severe heat conditions, with high temperatures reported across the state and warnings issued for 11 districts. The rising heat levels have prompted authorities to urge residents to take precautions against heat-related illnesses.
According to weather updates, daytime temperatures are soaring well above normal levels, with several regions recording highs above 34–36°C. The situation is expected to intensify in the coming days, with forecasts indicating even higher temperatures in parts of the state.
Health officials have advised people to avoid direct sunlight during peak hours, stay hydrated, and reduce outdoor activities, especially for children, elderly individuals, and those with health conditions.
Authorities have also warned of possible heatstroke, dehydration, and fatigue due to prolonged exposure to extreme heat. District administrations are monitoring the situation closely and may issue further advisories if conditions worsen.
With summer conditions tightening their grip, Kerala is likely to witness continued heat stress over the next week, raising concerns about public health and water availability.
