Dubai: Apple Inc. has announced the new iPhone 17e, a more affordable addition to the iPhone 17 lineup that brings powerful performance, an advanced camera system, and improved durability.
Powered by Apple’s latest A19 chip, the iPhone 17e delivers faster performance and improved efficiency for everyday tasks, gaming, and AI-powered features. The smartphone features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with Ceramic Shield 2, offering stronger scratch resistance and reduced glare.
The device includes a 48MP Fusion camera capable of capturing high-quality photos and 4K Dolby Vision video, along with an optical-quality 2x telephoto zoom. Apple has also added MagSafe support, allowing users to attach wireless chargers, wallets, and other accessories.
iPhone 17e starts with 256GB of storage, double the entry capacity of the previous generation, and comes in black, white, and soft pink matte finishes. Apple said the device also includes satellite connectivity features such as Emergency SOS, Messages via satellite, and Find My via satellite for users in areas without cellular coverage.
Pre-orders began on March 4, with global availability starting March 11, including markets such as the UAE, India, the US, and the UK. The new model starts at $599, positioning it as a value-focused option within the iPhone 17 family.
